| “One of my family members could be the next patient, so I make sure nurses have everything they need to administer medication properly and accurately. That’s how I put patients first, every day, every dose.” Teresa gives new nurses the training they need to accurately administer medications to patients. Teresa has been at Halifax Regional for 14 years, and maintains and monitors the operations of the automatic dispensing machines. By training nurses on this equipment, Teresa helps make sure nurses know how to give patients the proper medication in the right amount, at the right time. “We have a great team of employees here at Halifax Regional,” notes Teresa. “I try to pass a smile on to everyone I come in contact with, that’s the one contagious thing people don’t mind catching.” |
