Patients come first because Jimmy first starts the conversation—and then begins the care. The Emergency Care Center at Halifax Regional is a busy place. That’s why Jimmy makes sure he greets his patients and talks with them to assess their situation, and then plans for their care.

“I can’t know what patients are going through unless I talk to them and set up an open line of communication. Then we can treat patients and give them the care they need,” Jimmy explains. “For the services we offer, Halifax Regional provides the same level of care as the major medical centers.
